Mosscare St Vincent’s (MSV) is developing a number of new homes for low cost sale which will be available to buy early next year.
The brand new homes are available to buy through our Shared Ownership programme which is designed to help people who either can’t afford to buy a home outright and get on the property ladder or are keen to rightsize to a new home. The scheme allows individuals to buy a share of a NEW home, typically ranging from 25% to 75%, and pay rent on the remainder. This means that you need to obtain a smaller mortgage to buy the property. You can buy more shares as and when you can afford them – this is called ‘staircasing’. You can eventually own 100% of the property if you want to.
Who is Eligible? Anyone who is unable to buy a home outright is eligible for Shared Ownership. Applicants can be older persons, first time buyers, young professionals, social housing tenants or families on low income. Eligibility is assessed by MSV and the local Help to Buy agent.
